If you want the dimming feature, also get a dimmer bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. This light is only for indoor, dry locations. Don't use it outside. It has a UL safety rating, but it does contain lead, so be careful. When it comes to maintenance, use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the natural jute shade.
