The 5 - inch square canopy makes it easy to mount. Then, attach the 3 - foot chain and the chandelier body. You'll need to buy 4 clear candle bulbs (60 - watt max) separately as they're not included. Once the bulbs are in, you're ready to enjoy the elegant lighting. As for maintenance, turn off the power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the metal parts with the satin pewter and polished nickel finish. Be aware that this product has a CA Prop 65 warning due to possible lead exposure. Also, it's only for indoor use, so don't install it outside.
